They All Love to Read: Adult Summer Reading Winners at the Bronx Library Center

(NY Public Library) Last Saturday, August 23, we concluded our Adult Summer Reading Challenge 2014. Winners were announced and prizes awarded. Each participant had to submit logs of the books they read over the summer with a brief review of each title. The four top prizes were awarded as follows:

First Prize - Shamteek Cutts
Second Prize - James Daniels
Third Prize - Nicola Anderson-Cutts
Fourth Prize - Carmen Bolar

The four winners read a total of 149 books.

After the presentation we spoke to some of the participants and here is what they had to say:

How did you hear about the program

From a librarian

What motivated you to participate

The competition

What do you like to read

Non-fiction, Biographies, Romance and Sagas

When and where do you like to read

I like to read on the subway, and at the kitchen table at home with the radio on.

Each year the New York Public Library offers a Summer Reading Program for Adults, Teens and Children. Stay tuned for next Summer. The program runs from the beginning of June through the end of August.
